5 DAYS AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK- TSAVO WEST - MOMBASA - LODGE SAFARI

Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most popular parks because of the stunning view it displays of nearby Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s tallest freestanding mountain. As Amboseli is easily accessible, it forms apopular part of many of our safari itineraries. Amboseli is one of the smaller game parks in Kenya and the vegetation ensures that the animals are easy to spot. Lions can easily be found and can occasionally be watched stalking their prey.Buffalo, zebra, giraffe, gazelle and other plains game are plentiful in the park and hippos live in the open waters and swamp channels. The elephants found here are surprisingly relaxed around safari vehicles; they were largely unaffected by ivory poaching and have some of the largest tusks.

Tsavo National Park

Tsavo is Kenya's largest safari destination and one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in the world!

Following recent volcanic activity, Tsavo West National Park is covered in volcanic cones, rock outcrops and lava flows, the most spectacular being Shaitani, near Kilaguni Safari Lodge.

On safari in Tsavo you'll see large herds of pink elephants - There are interesting geographical features in Tsavo, including the Lugard Falls and the Mzima Springs, where an underwater observatory allows you to view the hippo, barbels and crocodiles. Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the western horizon and is a spectacular sight from across the plains.

Tsavo Safari is the ideal destination for people who seek solitude and privacy as well as the chance to explore the wilderness. With its proximity to Mombasa it is also an ideal safari for those staying on the coast.

DAY 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Depart after breakfast to Amboseli National park which lies 250 km southeast of Nairobi,at the foot of the mighty Kilimanjaro-Africa's highest mountain.Only nuture in all her majesty could create such a backdrop to the wildlife pageant found in this park.Game is seen on much of the route to the park, which crosses ochre plains where the Maasai tend to thier cattle in age-old tradition.Arrival for lunch at Amboseli Serena lodge, Sopa lodge or Oltukai lodge or similar, followed by game drive at the park.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 2: AMBOSELI - TSAVO WEST

Early morning game drive returning to the lodge or camp for breakfast.Thereafter depart for Tsavo west National park,home to the Hollywood famous movie '' The Man Eaters of Tsavo''.Check in at the Kilanguni Serena lodge or camp for lunch.Game drive after lunch,visiting the Mzima Springs with its fresh water underground tank where you will be able to see Hippos swimming up close.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 3: TSAVO - MOMBASA

After breakfast, check out and depart for the Kenyan coastal town of Mombasa with a game drive enroute.Check in at the Sun n' Sand Beach Hotel booked on half board.

DAY 4: SUN n' SAND BEACH HOTEL- Booked on half board.

DAY 5: MOMBASA - NAIROBI

Depart to Nairobi, after breakfast arriving later afternoon.
