Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel

Day 2: Nairobi - Samburu Serena Lodge

Set in a landscape of endless skies, dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers, this refreshingly rustic lodge is renowned for the timeless beauty of its landscape and the serene tranquillity of its setting. Nestled amidst the acacia groves that border the crocodile-filled reaches of the Uaso Nyiro River, the lodge stands centre-stage to miles of lion-stalked grasslands, elephant-studded plains and wildlife-teeming bush. It is also ideally placed for visits to the neighbouring parks of Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserve. Experience the serenity and tranquillity of Samburu at the Samburu Serena Safari Lodge.
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through rich farmlands on the shoulders of Mt. Kenya to the rugged semi-desert of Samburu. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in micro-mini bus with pop up roof. The Park is blessed with species rarely found elsewhere like the liver red reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Long neck Gerenuk, Blue flanked Somali Ostrich, Vulturine Guinea Fowl and also elephants, Leopards in the trees, African Buffalo, Cheetah, Braving Lions in the grass.

Day 3: Samburu

Full day with morning and afternoon game drive.
A place of endless skies, dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers, Samburu National Reserve lies on the fringes of the vast and arid desert once known as the Northern Frontier District, whose heat-scorched scrublands extend all the way to the jade-green waters of Lake Turkana and beyond. Physically dramatic, the 104 sq kilometre landscape of the Reserve features rocky battlements, craggy scarps, dry river beds and fallen boulders rising out of the thorn scrub against a backdrop of the far-distant hills and the great red table mountain known as Lololokwi. As for wildlife, Samburu provides one of the few sanctuaries in Kenya for the endangered Grevy’s zebra, the rare beisa oryx and the blue-shanked Somali ostrich whilst large herds of elephant roam the gaunt hills during the day before returning to bathe on the banks of the river in the evening. Day 4: Mount Kenya

Depart Samburu to Mt Kenya arriving at Mountain Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon leisure and overnight floodlit game viewing.

Day 5: Mount Kenya - Lake Nakuru

Depart Mt Kenya after breakfast and proceed south to lake Nakuru, which is often referred to as the pink lake for it's great masses of pink flamingos. Arrive in time for lunch. Can also see water buck, leopards impala, Buffalo and is currently a rhino sanctuary. Afternoon game drive is taken.

Day 6: Nakuru - Masai Mara

Leave Nakuru after breakfast and head for Maasai Mara National Reserve which is famous for it's great herds of wild game. All animals found in Kenya among the "big five" are found here.
Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives.

Dinner and Overnight: Mara Serena Lodge ( Full board )

Day 7: Masai Mara

Full day with morning and afternoon game drive. Leisure at lodge or visit the Maasai villages- at a small fee paid separately.

Day 8; Mara - Amboseli

Depart Mara after breakfast and proceed to Amboseli via Nairobi for lunch at Nairobi Restaurant. Arrive to the park at the foot of the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak.

Afternoon game drive is taken.

Day 10: Amboseli - Nairobi - Mombasa

Early morning game drive, return to lodge for breakfast and depart for Nairobi with game viewing as you leave the park enroute to main round and even beyond. Arrive Nairobi in the late afternoon at 1500Hrs Have lunch at Nairobi Restaurant, then relax awaiting for the Train to Mombasa at 1900Hrs.

Nairobi Mombasa Train Schedules:

Nairobi to Mombasa train now operates on Mon and Fri only.
Mombasa to Nairobi train now operates on Tue and Sun only.

Reporting time: 18:30HRS
Departing Time: 19:00HRS
Arrival Time: 09:00HRS

At 1800Hrs prepare for transfer to the railways station to board the train to Mombasa. The most scenic way to travel with beautiful Kenya landscape, food, bed and breakfast on the train.

Arrive: Mombasa at 0900Hrs and transfer from Mombasa railways station to the ( Mombasa Serena Beach Hotel ).
